The Human Potential Running Series will be holding three races in Golden that range between eight miles and 50 kilometers.
The Sawmill Trail Runs is an activity that challenges runners while taking them on a tour of Staunton State Park. Those who complete the race will earn an award, and there will also be a prize for the runner with the ugliest sweater. An aid station will be at the Ranch Hand Group Picnic Area to provide participants with water, soda, wraps, and other snack options. Runners are allowed to wear micro-spikes and snowshoes.
The Human Potential Running Series is a group founded in 2014 that organizes races to challenge people and enhance their spirit. People can become volunteers for the organization to help operate the aid station, attend parking lots, and sweep the course. The group also looks for medical volunteers to assist during races. Volunteers earn credits depending on how long they help for during events, such as receiving $10 in racing credits for every hour worked.
The running activity will be held on Saturday, December 10 and will begin at 7:00 am. Registration for the 50K will cost $140, though people who register early for the event will receive a discount. Those who want a shirt must sign up for the run before November 28. Organizations in charge of running activities like this may use banner printing to create roadside ads for the events.
