Residents of Golden interested in outdoor winter sports may wish to attend an upcoming educational seminar.
Hosted at Morris and Mae Food Hall, participants in Avalanche Awareness Night will have the opportunity to enjoy food and beverages, interact with others in the community and learn about avalanche safety and awareness in preparation for the winter season.
Educational seminars such as this often have a visual component alongside the information provided by the presenter. For these visual components graphic design can be a very important aspect, as it can help hold the audience’s attention, and allow them to better retain the information.
Those attending Avalanche Awareness Night can expect to leave with an increased education in several aspects of avalanche safety. Topics of focus will include risk assessment, decision-making, recognizing avalanche terrain, safety equipment, and understanding snowpack. There will be time prior to the presentation for socializing and enjoying some of the available food specials. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase during and after the presentation.
The evening will be taking place on Wednesday November 18 at Morris and Mae Food Hall, located at 18475 West Colfax Avenue, Golden. Doors open for the social period at 4:30pm, with the presentation beginning at 6pm. The evening is open to all ages and there is no cost to attend. Those wishing to reserve a spot in advance may do so online.
