The Scandinavian Alliance of Colorado will hold a cultural festival in Golden at Parfet Park.
The Scandinavian Midsummer Festival is an experience where people can learn about Scandinavian traditions and enjoy live entertainment. Several performers will attend the fest, such as The Scandinavian Folk Dancers of Phoenix, Nicolette Andres, and Sarah Jylkka. The Fjellborg Vikings will create a Viking tent encampment where festivalgoers can see demonstrations of live combat, blacksmithing, and carpenter work.
There will also be several vendors participating in the festival. People can browse businesses like Laura's Glass Garden Best Humming Bird Feeders, Seader Custom Creations, and Treasure Hill Arts. There is also a Viking market with merchants such as the Hide & Dye Kraftwerk Emporium, Nordmark Designs, and Runes and Rabbits. People can purchase food from vendors like Grey Duck Eats Smørrebrød, Andy's Kitchen, and Styria Catering. Several cultural organizations will have booths at the fest, including The Swedish Club of Denver and The Denver Danes.
The cultural festival will be held from Friday, June 14 to Sunday, June 16. The family-friendly event is free to all attendees, and the venue will provide parking. Companies interested in sponsoring the event can buy packages that range from $100 to $20,000. Those who sponsor the festival will receive perks like food passes at the event and social media recognition. Organizers of similar fests to this may use banner printing to advertise the logos of their sponsors.
