Golden to celebrate National Day of the Cowboy

The Westernaires in Golden will hold a Wild West-themed event in July to celebrate a national holiday.

The Western Heritage Shows is an event that honors the National Day of the Cowboy with family-friendly activities. The experience will include demonstrations from the Westernaires Red and White division horseback drill teams, interactive activities, face painting, and a petting zoo. The program is specifically made for daycare classes and summer camp groups. The shows will be held in an indoor climate-controlled facility, and there will be new shows held every 45 minutes during the event.

The Westernaires is an organization where children and teens from 9 to 19 can learn about western riding, horse care, and precision drills. Students can also practice specialty acts like trick riding and Roman riding. The Fort Westernaire facility has many amenities, including four indoor arenas, three outdoor arenas, a conference room, and an AV room. There is also a museum located at the organization and designated quarters for caretakers.

The shows will be held on Wednesday, July 24th from 10:00 am to 2:45 pm. There is no cost to take part in the activities, though all groups interested in attending the event must register by July 12th. Organizations that create educational summer experiences like this may use poster printing to make promotional materials for their seasonal events.
