Golden is set to host its annual celebration of Golden Retrievers in February.
This event known as "Goldens in Golden" will transform the downtown area of Golden into a haven for dog lovers and their pets. It will provide a day full of community bonding and activities.
Since its modest beginnings in 2019, the event has evolved into a significant gathering, drawing participants from different areas of Colorado and across the country.
For this event, Golden’s roads will be closed to automobile traffic. This will allow attendees to stroll through the pet-friendly vendor area, partake in festive activities, and enjoy photo opportunities, including the official event picture beneath the iconic Golden Welcome Arch.
This year’s festivities include parades, booths featuring pet products, and treats for both dogs and humans. Local establishments will join the fun by offering themed refreshments, including specialty beers. An after-party hosted at Golden Mill will also take place, providing a lively conclusion to the day.
Participants are reminded to bring essential items, such as leashes, waste Bags, and water, to ensure a safe and enjoyable day. Early arrival is recommended to secure parking as the event tends to attract large crowds.
