Golden museum to arrange childrens pioneer camp

The Golden History Museum & Park will be holding a themed program in July to teach kids about life on historic ranches.

Pioneer Kids & Art Explorers is a summer camp where children will experience what life was like in the community during the 1800s. Campers will get to learn about living on a ranch while taking part in activities such as taking care of chickens or examining old forms of art. Participants can also create their own art during the camp, including hand-woven crafts and pottery. The summer activity is intended for children ages six to eight.

The Golden History Museum & Park was founded in 1938 and was originally called the Jefferson County Historical Museum. The attraction offers many activities for guests, such as film screenings, interactive classes, and tours. Past exhibits held at the museum include Made in Golden: Where Innovation Lives and Turn It Up: Golden’s Musical Memories. Both the museum and outdoor park are free to visit.

The summer camp will be held from Monday, July 25 to Friday, July 29. Each session will take place between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. Members of the Golden History Museum & Park can pay $308 to attend the program, and non-members may pay $345. Organizations that hold summer activities similar to this may use flyer printing for advertising their camps to the community.
