Runners here in Castle Rock are invited to run on the town’s vast ridgeline trail system in early October as Hydrate IV Bar will be presenting Castle Rock Trail Festival/liveBIG Run.
The liveBIG Family Adventure Run will have child-friendly obstacles and will end with a race up the 200-step staircase called the Philip S. Miller Challenge Hill. Registration will be $20 per participant and the run will begin at 10:30 am.
Those interested in the 5k at Philip S. Miller Park can register for $35 and be at the start line by 9:30 am.
Registration will be $45 for the 10k, $65 for the half marathon, and $95 for the 50k. Starting times will be 9:00 am for the 10k, 8:30 am for the half marathon, and 7:30 am for the 50k. These runs will begin at the Ridgeline Open Space.
Swag for all runners will include T-Shirts printed with this year’s event graphic design, finisher medals, disposable bib chips for professional chip timing, free photo downloads, and refreshments beginning at 10:30 am after the races.
Awards for the half marathon and the 10k will go to the top overall female and male finishers, and to the top three winners of seven age categories. The 50k awards will go to the top female and male finishers, and to winners in six age categories.
Castle Rock Trail Festival/liveBIG Run will take place Saturday, October 7 from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm.
