Castle Rock residents to spend June evenings in the park

Parks here in Castle Rock will be offering multiple events including yoga, jazz, a 5k, and concerts during June.

All the below events will be in Festival Park, 300 Second Street, unless noted otherwise.

Folks may bring their mats and participate in Monday evening Yoga in the Park throughout the month. Classes are tonight, June 8, 15, 22, and 29 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and are free to participate in.

On Wednesdays, June 3, 10, 17, and 24, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, Castle Rock Music and Jason Bower will entertain guests will jazz concerts. This event will be free and scaled down, with no vendors and no stage, and no alcohol served.

This Friday, June 5, the venue will have a free concert with the Mallrats playing ‘90s rock, food trucks, and kids' activities. A family 5k will take place beginning at 5:30 pm before the concert, which will begin at 6:00 pm.

Thursday, June 18 will be Tunes for Trails, a free concert with donations going to the Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation. The Rick Lewis Project will be playing high-energy rock, funk, soul and blues. It will take place from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the Philip S. Miller Park's Amphitheater, 1375 W Plum Creek Parkway.
