Castle Rock’s Festival Park is hosting a unique celebration to not only ring in the fall season, but also to explore the world of creeping creatures just in time for Halloween.
Amid the Town of Castle Rock’s Fall Festival this October, an educational program will coincide with it, known as Creepy Crawlies Around the Rock. Creatures with a spooky reputation native to the Castle Rock area, including toads and snakes, will be on display. The event is organized by the Douglas Land Conservancy and presented by Nature’s Educators, which are both Colorado-based non-profit organizations promoting conservation and wildlife education, respectively.
Educational events like this may choose to use brochure printing for informational sheets, promotional literature and lesson plans.
The animal exhibit is one of the many activity stations for public viewing at the Fall Festival. The free, family-friendly event has many local seasonal vendors, autumn-themed foods and beverages, craft products, mementos, sweets, pumpkins for purchase, roasted chilies and produce.
A fall-themed photo booth, pumpkin decoration station and yard games are also planned as part of the Fall Festival. It’s all made possible by LOCAL Colorado, the same group that organizes the Festival Park Farmers Market.
The Fall Festival featuring Creepy Crawlies Around the Rock is happening on October 18 from 10 am to 3 pm at Festival Park at 200 Second St. in Castle Rock.
