Castle Rock’s Parks and Recreation department will be hosting its annual Winter Ball at the end of this month.
The theme will be trolls (for Trollstice) and guests are encouraged (though not required) to come in trolls-themed outfits and accessories, which is anything sparkly and colorful.
The evening will include dancing, crafting, and snacks. Photo opportunities will be available for those wishing to have something to remember the fun. Prizes like recreation passes and stuffed animals will be in a drawing that will support the Town's Teen Advisory Group. This group plans and implements park activities and community service projects. Costumed characters will also be milling around the venue to greet and talk to the guests.
Many of those who wear colorful costumes to events like this often bring the pictures that are taken at the event to local Print shops to be made into duplicates for relatives, or to be put into family newsletters.
Tickets will be $18 and every guest, no matter how young or old, will need a ticket. The town's general participation waivers will be required. These will require agreement to follow the rules, consent for photo and videos, assuming risks and release from any liability, consent for minors, and a fitness and health acknowledgment.
This year's Winter Ball will take place from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Saturday, January 31 at the James R. Sullivan Event Center. This can be found at the Douglas County Fairgrounds on Fairgrounds Drive.Get a Free Quote for Print
