Castle Rock runners and walkers will be treated to the 8th Annual ShamROCK Stampede and Indoor Health Expo. This year it will take place on St. Paddy's Day Weekend in mid-March.
Registration will be $43 for the event's Flagship 5k and the RRCA Colorado State Championship 10k, free for the 1k Kid's Sham-Scram Family Run Run/Walk and $35 for a virtual 5k run.
Swag will include tri-blend T-Shirts.
Large races often have local Print shops create a Logo Design for their event shirts.
The race will have an Irish theme and a festival atmosphere.
The 10 k begins at 10:00 am followed by the 5k at 10:15 am. The Awards ceremony will begin at 10:50 and the Kid's Sham Scram will be at 11:00 am.
All proceeds will go to the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Live Free Association and to Its A Calling Foundation.
Hosted by Run to Change lives, the mission of the race is to raise funds and increase awareness of organizations that help first responders and veterans suffering from PTSD.
The Indoor Health Expo will begin at 9:00 am with registration and packet pickup. It will feature vendor booths, health and wellness resources, community organizations and family-oriented activities.
This year's 8th Annual ShamROCK Stampede and Indoor Health Expo will take place at the Douglas County Fairgrounds and Event Center, 500 Fairgrounds Road, Saturday, March 14th.
