Castle Rock is hosting its 2026 Starlighting festival to ring in the holiday season this November.
Presented by the Castle Chamber of Commerce, the Castle Rock Starlighting event includes local vendors, beverages, booths from non-profit organizations, children’s activities, hot cocoa and appearances by Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
The Castle Rock butte that overlooks Interstate 25 will be a major focal point of the festival.
It is atop this rock formation that the Star’s official lighting will take place with a fireworks display in the sky above it serving as the climax of the event.
A Firehouse chili dinner, dancing and caroling are some of the other activities that will be part of this free event in a tradition that stretches back decades. While the first star atop Castle Rock was lit in 1936, the official Starlighting ceremony was conceived in 1962.
While there is no fee for general admission to the event, people can bid money on the opportunity to be the official flip switcher of the ceremony, the proceeds of which will go to Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce community programs, including organizations helping veterans and teachers.
Musical artist Biff Gore will perform on the main stage.
Holiday festivals like this may choose to use printing services to raise awareness of the even with everyone in the town and surrounding areas.
Castle Rock Starlighting is happening on November 21 from 2 pm to 6 pm at Historic Wilcox Square along North Wilcox Street in Castle Rock.
