Castle Rock has become the new home of Catholic Charities, after outgrowing two offices in five years. The official opening of the new office was recently recognized with a ribbon cutting and open house.
CEO of Catholic Charities, Andy Barton, said that moving to the new office will now allow the organization to meet the increased need for assistance in Douglas County. A bonus is that the new space will enable the organization to find more collaborative and innovative solutions to addressing poverty rather than simply providing hand-outs.
Catholic Charities has established many partnerships with human service providers and the county since it arrived in the county five years ago. The new office will enable it to be co-located with the Alternatives Pregnancy Center and tri-County Health. Health Centered Counseling also moved into a space next door last month, enabling Catholic Charities to improve access to services for families, Barton added.
Flyer printing companies can be used to provide more detailed information about such services. Among the services which Catholic Charities provides are winter coats, turkeys at Thanksgiving, furniture and specialty outreach programs, and English as a Second Language classes.
Regional director for Catholic Charities of Central Colorado, Paul Narduzzo, commented that although Castle Rock is known for its wealth, an increased number of families are seeking out its services.
