Castle Rock welcomes charity golf and auction

The 9th Annual Dalton's Moon Golf Tournament and On-site Auction will be held here in Castle Rock in early June.

The format will be a four-person scramble ending with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. There will be the usual games like closest to the pin and longest drive and more unusual ones like closest to the Zig Zag line where the person in the first foursome who makes the most accurate drive for that hole writes his name on a slated stake where the ball landed. Any player in the following foursomes that shoots a longer drive erases the former name and puts his name on the slate at the new spot.

There will be a putting contest, and a Longest Marshmallow Drive. This is a practice drill where participants using shorter clubs aim for a target using a marshmallow instead of a ball.

Online individual registration will be $188.58 including greens fees, golf cart, range balls, golfer gift bag and lunch.

On-site registration will begin, and the driving range will open at 7:00 am with the shot gun start at 8:00 am. A BBQ lunch will begin at 12:30 pm.

Supporters of organizations like Dalton's Moon Foundation, an organization that raises funds for local charities, often have event flyer printing done to promote the events.

The 9th Annual Dalton's Moon Golf Tournament will take place Thursday, June 5th from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm at Red Hawk Ridge Golf Course 2156 Red Hawk Ridge Drive.
