Castle Rock runs the Rock Hawk

It will soon be time to run the first race of the Bear Chase Race Series – the Rock Hawk coming in early May.

The Rock Hawk will feature half-marathon, 10k, and 5k runs on the rolling hills with memorable views along the loose and rocky terrain of the Ridgeline Trail systems and through Miller Park. These runs will be on non-technical courses for those gearing up for the longer summer runs, and there will be a four-hour limit for the half-marathon. Kids 10 and under can run with adults on the 5k and get 50% off the KidsRock5K registration.

The half-marathon registration is $115 until May 1, when the price goes up to $125; the 10K is $85 and will go up to $95; and the 5K will cost $65 and go up to $75.

Swag will include official timing chips, gender-specific short-sleeve racing tees printed with the event’s graphic design, digital race photos, carved wood medals for the finishers, and post-race breakfast.

Race packets will be available at the start line on race day beginning at 6:00am. The half-marathon will begin at 7:00am, followed by the 10k at 7:30am, and the 5k at 8:00am.

The Rock Hawk Half Marathon, 10k and 5k will be Saturday, May 6, at Phillip S Miller Park at 1375 W Plum Creek Parkway.
