Castle Rock folks can get outdoors and revel in a movie, jazz, and a car show during the month of June.
Festival Park will start the month with Movie in the Park. The festivities will have local bands at 5:00 pm, and a movie around 8:30 pm. Everyone is advised to bring blankets or chairs and enjoy browsing through vendors, food from local food trucks, and drinks from local breweries. Movie in the Park will take place Saturday, June 1.
Jazz in the Park will begin Wednesday, June 5 and continue on Wednesdays through August. Local talent such as Castle Rock Music, and Jazz by Jason Bower, will convene in Festival Park around 6:30 pm and disband around 8:00 pm.
Members of Castle Rock's Vintage Car Club will display over 50 cars, and local bands will be giving a free concert on Friday, June 14 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Car Show Weekend in Wilcox Square. On Saturday, June 15 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, historic downtown streets will be teeming with more than 300 trucks, cars, and specialty vehicles. Along with viewing the classic vehicles, guests will also be treated to live music, free activities for the kids, and vendor booths.
Proud car owners sometimes take pictures of their special vehicles to local Print shops for poster printing.
