The City of Brighton will be holding its annual Summerfest event this June, welcoming in the summer with outdoor concerts and vendors.
The festival will be headlined by retro rock group The Dreamboat, who play songs inspired by the music of the 1950s. The retro appeal extends to the supporting acts with turn-of-the-millennium tribute group Northwoods and classic folk duo Aubrey Dale & Christine Alice. There will also be a marketplace full of exhibits and vendors from throughout the local community, as well as family-friendly activities. Vendors will be selected by the city through an online application process, and could include everything from classic summer eats to rare artisan gifts.
The event is one of the staples of Brighton’s summer events, and typically attracts over 7, 000 people. Large outdoor events often use tools like banner printing and signage to help create an atmosphere and guide visitors through the festival area. The event also typically also features a beer garden area, carnival food, and arts and crafts activities. Past editions of Summerfest have also included tribute bands to classic eras or artists, with last year’s festival headlined by Prince tribute act The Purple Experience.
The 2025 edition of Brighton Summerfest will take place on the morning and afternoon of June 7 at Carmichael Park, with admission free to all visitors.
