The city of Brighton will be hosting the 9th annual Image Summit this November, gathering youth looking to make a difference in their community.
The event welcomes children and teens in grades 5 to 12 from across Colorado to Brighton for networking and leadership skill development. The first day of the Summit will feature breakout workshops designed to build confidence and abilities. Breakout sessions in past years have included workshops with names like “Finding Your Marigolds: Cultivating Communities of Support” and “The Floor Is Lava: Understanding Differences in Behaviors.”
Each day of the gathering will kick off with opening entertainment, a light breakfast, and a keynote speech, which this year will be Blake Fly and Jessica Clark-Funk. On the second day attendees will be able to put their skills to work, engaging in large group activities, learning about how to get involved with local government, and meeting and talking with elected officials from across Colorado.
The annual summit is hosted by the City of Brighton’s Office of Youth Services and typically draws approximately 300 children and teens in addition to local community leaders. Educational events like this often use methods like brochure printing and interactive activities to help better convey information and grow skills.
The 2025 Image Summit will take place at Riverdale Regional Park in Brighton on November 4 and 5.
