The City of Brighton will be marking a decade of its Art in the Park event this September, with an anniversary edition recognizing local artists and culture.
The one-day event will feature over 70 artists from throughout Colorado and beyond offering unique work. Some work will be available for purchase, in mediums ranging from painting to sculpture to fashion. Visitors can also take part in interactive art activities aimed at an all-ages audience. Chalk artists will help decorate the city streets to celebrate the occasion.
Live music, dance and cultural performances will help showcase other types of art throughout the day. There will also be food trucks offering a taste of local culinary arts, and a beer and wine garden. Exhibitors, artists and entertainers are selected through an online application process.
Last year’s Brighton Art in the Park featured a diverse stage lineup ranging from the Quetzalcoatl Aztec Dance Fusion to Polka Folka, and chalk artists like Olivia McLeod and Randy Segura. This edition will look to be bigger and better than ever to suit the 10th anniversary. Art events like this often use colourful banner printing and street art to help decorate the larger area.
The 2026 edition of Brighton Art in the Park will take place in Carmichael Park on September 12. Admission will be free to all.
