The Solano County Fairgrounds in Vallejo will be hosting a festival throughout January that features incredible light displays.
The Lantern Light Festival and Carnival is an event where people can experience Chinese culture by viewing massive, beautiful lanterns. Each display featured during the festival was handcrafted by Chinese artists, with some lamps being over 300 feet long. The tradition started more than 2,000 years ago, where lanterns were lit to mark the return of spring. Lighting the lanterns is symbolic of illuminating family futures and reunions.
There will be multiple activities and performances inspired by Chinese culture that guests can join during the festival. Children can enjoy inflatable rides, mini-golfing, mining for emeralds, and navigating the forbidden city maze. The event will also have carnival rides, in addition to snacks such as cotton candy. Businesses that have stalls at festivals similar to this can use banner printing services to create Signs that raise their visibility.
The Lantern Light Festival and Carnival will be held throughout January and will open at 5:00 pm. The event will close at 10:00 pm on Thursdays and Sundays, while on Fridays and Saturdays the festival will end at 11:00 pm. Admission to the event will cost $23 for adults and $18 for children. Kids who are three and under can enter the festival free of charge.
