The annual Gem and Mineral Show will be returning to Vallejo for the 58th year this weekend.
There will be over 40 vendors selling fossils, jewelry, specimens, and much more.
The show will also feature silent auctions, hourly drawings, a corner designed for children’s entertainment, and the wheel of fortune. Also at the show will be demonstrations, geode cutting, and grab Bags.
Tickets will be available at the door only and are $6.00 for adults. Children under the age of 12 can enter for free. Attendees who come on the first day will be able to return for free on the second day with a receipt or hand stamp.
Special events like this are often promoted throughout the community and the region with poster printing.
The Gem and Mineral Show is to be hosted by the Vallejo Gem and Mineral Society. The Society was founded in October 1954 by “rockhounds” who wanted to share their knowledge and interest of geology, minerals, rocks, and other aspects of gemstone and rock mining, collecting cutting, and polishing.
The Society is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to imparting its knowledge of skills related to crafting and jewelry.
The Gem and Mineral Show will be held in McCormack Hall on the Solano County Fairgrounds on Fairgrounds Drive in Vallejo this weekend, starting on Saturday, February 24 and finishing on Sunday, February 25. Both days will run from 10:00am to 5:00pm.Get a Free Quote for Bags
