Vallejo to hold reptile convention

Reptile fans can slither over to the Solano County Fairgrounds this July to attend the Vallejo Reptile & Oddities Expo.

The Vallejo Reptiles & Oddities Expo is a convention where guests can learn about an assortment of reptiles from vendors throughout California. The event will feature daily presentations that are hosted by Reptile Ron and the JnW Reptile Rescue. People can also have their pictures taken next to the unique Gatordragon, a real taxidermied alligator. Vendors at the convention will be selling horror and steampunk related merchandise as well.

The expo is sponsored by the JnW Reptile Rescue, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to teaching the community about reptiles. The group also operates a rattlesnake removal service and even has reptiles available to be adopted. The JnW Reptile Rescue participates in local events to provide positive interactions between people and reptiles, hoping to use education to prevent animal abuse. Flyer printing can help organizations like the JnW Reptile Rescue advertise their events and gain more awareness for their causes.

The Vallejo Reptiles & Oddities Expo will be held on July 18th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and July 19th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Adults who want to attend the reptile convention can pay $12 for their tickets, while children aged 5 to 12 can pay $8. Kids who are four or younger can enter the expo for free.
