Vallejo residents invited to step back in time

History buffs in Vallejo are invited to take part in an activity that will take them back to Italy during the Renaissance era.

The Carnevale Fantastico will provide a weekend of fun and excitement. There will be men and women in traditional dress from that time period, as well as a chance to sample wines from throughout the local area and traditional style beverages as well.

Italian cuisine will be offered, as well as comedy shows performed in the style of the Commedia dell Arte. The will all be accompanied by traditional music, and there will be swordsmanship displays and a variety of vendors will have handcrafted items for sale. They will be giving live demonstrations of how they create their works.

Tickets for a day at the Carnevale have been priced at $12.50 each, with children under 12 being admitted free of charge. Overnight accommodations are available at one of the lodging establishments in the local area.

The event will take place on May 14th and 15th at the Blue Rock Springs Park, which is located at 650 Columbus Parkway in Vallejo. A printer can provide Banners and other decorations for events such as this that have been designed in a style traditional to the renaissance.
