Vallejo residents invited to come out and run

An event has been planned for the Vallejo area that will give people a chance to show their support for a local natural area that has been describes as being one of the area’s hidden jewels.

The Lynch Canyon Trail Run and Community Hike will be back for its 10th year, and everyone is welcome to join in the fun spirit of the day. Participants can run, walk or roll along the 5K, 10K or half marathon course, and the entries fees will vary based upon which event a participant Signs up for. The community walk will be offered free of charge, though parking may be limited.

Those who wish to take part are reminded that the terrain may be rough, and they may encounter plants with thorns or sticky seeds. The property is also a working cattle ranch, and they are free to roam as they wish. Dogs will not be permitted, and it is suggested that people keep a lookout for wildlife, and beware of poison oak and rattlesnakes.
