The Vallejo Waterfront Weekend in downtown Vallejo has a variety of exciting activities, including a Lucky Duck Derby, car show, dunking machine, 5K Glo Run, bus tour, and painting contest. The two-day festival promotes Vallejo, Mare Island, and Solano County.
The Chili Cookoff has a public tasting from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm on the Saturday of the event. The Whaleboat Regatta races two day with eight rowers on the Vallejo waterfront, covering about 500 yards.
The Vallejo Glo Run on Saturday starts with a ferry ride to Mare Island and a run around the historic naval base. The festival has a Karaoke Contest on the same day for participants to show off their talents.
The Kid Zone will have a pumpkin patch, bounce house, face painting, and petting zoo both days.
The car show will have vehicles from the 1930s to present both days. On Sunday, the scenic Mare Island Marathon for swimmers will take place, including 5K and 10K races.
Vallejo Waterfront Weekend has a Plein Air Paint Out for artists to paint local attractions, and a bus tour that provides free rides to museums and historic point of interest.
Just the sort of event often promoted through flyer printing, Vallejo Waterfront Festival will be held on October 6 and 7. Food, soft drinks, beer, and wine will be available.
