Vallejo hosts confidential paper shredding event

The monthly Confidential Paper Shredding event is scheduled to return to Vallejo next month.

VALCORE Recycling organized this occasion in partnership with the City of Vallejo to help residents dispose of unneeded papers that contain confidential information in a safe and responsible way.

All who take their unwanted paper to be shredded are required to park their vehicles at the end of Sheridan Street next to the sidewalk to wait for assistance. VALCORE Recycling staff will arrive with toters to help bring the materials to the Diablo Paper Shredding Truck to be safely destroyed.

Vallejo locals who will be bringing paper to this event can pay by cash or check. The mandatory shredding fee is priced at $10 with an additional charge of 50 cents per pound of paper. For those who will be bringing more than 20lbs of paper, the initial fee will be increased by increments of $5 depending on total weight. Flyer printing is a preferred way for organizers of similar events to create physical Copies of written information to inform locals as to event rules and details.

In keeping with COVID-19 guidance, each individual who attends the event must wear a facemask.

The next paper shredding event at VALCORE Recycling is set to take place this Saturday, November 21, and another will be on Saturday, December 19 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
