The Empress Theatre in Vallejo will be hosting a special dinner later this week.
Such special events are often promoted throughout the community with poster printing and offer a way to celebrate a holiday or a unique occasion.
Guests will be able to start their weekend in the intimate atmosphere of a Supper Club in the Empress Lounge of the theatre. Chef Be Be Preston of Mise en Place Events and Catering will be preparing a Prix Fixe Dinner of three courses. Chef Preston is a native of San Francisco and grew up learning about the importance of great meals and sharing them with friends and family.
Following dinner will be the Top Shelf Classics performing a Classic Soul Revue.
The appetizers include a choice of pear salad or turkey, cabbage, and Northern bean soup. For the main entrée, there will be a choice of shrimp and grits, jambalaya on the grill, chicken and waffles, or a fried fish dinner with garlic green beans and potato salad. There will be Lemon Jell-O pound cake or red velvet waffle cake for dessert.
The price for dinner is $35 and the price for dinner and a show is $65. This special meal will take place at the Empress Theatre on Virginia Street this Friday, February 18. Dinner is served at 6:30 pm with the show to follow at 8:00 p.m.
