The Thomas B. Crowley Sr. Memorial Scholarships of Crowley have been awarded to two cadets from California State University Maritime Academy in Vallejo.
Natalie Pierotti and Erin Hulti have been recognized for their interest and achievements in pursuing a career in the maritime industry. Each cadet has demonstrated the values of sustainability, integrity, and drive through their time and work spent on the managed vessels of the company.
Crowley is a logistics, marine and energy solutions company serving commercial and government customers, and is based in Jacksonville, Florida. A community can often be made aware of special awards like these with flyer printing services.
Both cadets are juniors. Hulti is from Astoria, Oregon, and is pursuing a degree in marine transportation. She is the director of student affairs for the student government organization at the school, and has been on the Dean’s List demonstrating her academic achievement.
Pierotti from San Franciso, California, is pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering. She serves as the academic training officer for the Second Engine Division of the academy, is a member of the women’s rugby team, and is also on the Dean’s List.
Both cadets have recently completed a term on the American Endurance, a Crowley managed tanker. Hulti is looking to be a resource and example of leadership for women, while Pierotti seeks to be a third assistant engineer on a tanker.
