New transit facility open in Vallejo

Commuters in Vallejo will now find their trip a little bit easier thanks to the grand opening of the new Curtola Park & Rise Hub.

Sen. Lois Wolk, who was on hand for the occasion, remarked on the importance of partnership when it comes to the building of such facilities. This particular one came about as the result of the corporation between the city and several agencies.

A large tent had been set up for the celebration, and several of the new buses that run on alternative fuel purchased by the agency were on display. A company that provides Mailing services can be used to send out information about the upgrades to everyone who lives in the area. This can encourage them to make more use of the public transit system.

This is the second such event that SolTrans has hosted in the past month. The first was to mark the occasion of the opening of its newly remodeled offices. This was the first phase of a project to revamp the facility. The final upgrades will include more parking spaces, infrastructure that runs on solar power, a restroom, spaces where electric vehicles can be charged, increased security, and also a casual carpool area. Improvements have also been made to the landscaping around the facility, which may help to provide a better first impression for the city.
