New apartment complex to come to Vallejo

Plans for new housing on Sonoma Boulevard have been approved by the city of Vallejo.

This will add over 400 new homes to the most populous city in Solano County. The developer of the project is Jackson Square Properties, while the architect is TCA Architects.

The project calls for 11 buildings, each four stories high, that will yield 429 apartments. There will be 234 apartments with one bedroom, 165 apartments with two bedrooms, and 30 apartments with three bedrooms. Each apartment will have a patio on the ground level or a private balcony. There will also be a central amenity building that will offer a lawn, outdoor seating, and a pool deck. Parking spaces for 451 bicycles and 698 cars will be included.

Stone veneer, stucco, and horizontal lap siding will comprise the materials of the façade for what is a coastal cottage-style design. More details about the features and amenities of such apartments are often provided with brochure printing.

The property covers 12.6 acres, and its boundaries are Lincoln Highway and Sonoma Boulevard. It is located about 20 minutes from the center of the city by bicycle, and 30 minutes from the city center by bus. There is an existing big box retail establishment on the property that will need to be demolished before construction can begin.

The cost of construction is about $105m and it is expected to take close to two years.
