A Valentine’s Day Open House will be held by The Carquinez Model Railroad Society.
The Model Railroad Society is located on Loring Avenue in Crockett, and residents of nearby Vallejo who are interested in such events will not want to miss this. Such special events are often promoted in a city and throughout the region with poster printing.
The Carquinez Model Railroad Society has an HO scale model railroad, which is on three levels. It is a replica of the Southern Pacific/Union Pacific railroad that beings in Oakland, crosses the Sierra Nevada mountains, and ends in Sparks, Nevada. Attendees will be able to walk beside the model and travel from Oakland, through Richmond and Berkely, then over to Martinez and Crockett, and then take the bridge to Fairfield. People then go up the stairs to arrive in Davis, then Sacramento, followed by Colfax. The Sierra Nevada Mountains are next, with the final destination in Sparks.
Members of the society will be on hand to answer questions. There will also be a Scavenger Hunt for attendees to test their abilities in observation. There is also a gift shop and the Crockett Toy Train Operating Museum in the same building.
The open house will be held on Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on both days.
