Holiday concerts to be performed in Vallejo

The Mare Island Historic Park Foundation will be holding two seasonal events in Vallejo next month.

The first will be a Holiday Choral Extravaganza where two local choral groups will be featured—the Vallejo Choral Society and the Napa Methodist Cathedral Choir. A joyful selection of holiday tunes will be presented by each, including a few where the audience can sing along. This concert will be at St. Peter’s Chapel on Mare Island on Saturday, December 9. At 1:30 pm the doors will open, with the performance to follow from 2:00 to 3:30 pm. Attendees will be able to enjoy a variety of holiday music played on the pipe organ.

Ticket prices are $10 for children under the age of 13 and $15 for adults. Flyer printing is often used to promote such festive events throughout a community.

Soon after, the VOENA a cappella children’s choir will be presenting a concert of the “Voices of the Night Before Christmas.” This will be the choir first concert at St. Peter’s Chapel. They will be dressed in Victorian attire and will sing favorites of the holiday, as well some world music.

Ticket prices will be $40 for reserved seats in the first three rows, while elsewhere prices will be $25 for adults and $15 for children under the age of 13. This concert will be on Sunday, December 13 beginning at 3:00 pm.
