Final concert of chamber music series to be held in Vallejo

The closing concert of the 2023-2024 season of the Benicia Chamber Players will be held next month at the Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum on Marin Street in Vallejo.

The title of the concert is “French Landscapes” and will cover the genre of French piano trio. It will feature two compositions, one by Camille Saint-Saëns and the other by Maurice Ravel. Poster printing can be used to advertise such concerts in a town and throughout surrounding communities.

The trio by Ravel was influenced by Malaysian poetic form and Spanish and Basque dancers and showcases a lively combination of intricate textures, daring explorations of instruments, and a vibrant palette of colors. The trio by Saint-Saëns embodies unleashed passion and has a brooding nature. Three Pieces for Cello and Piano by Nadia Boulanger complements the program and features meandering passages, delicate sounds, and agitated moods. Rounding out the program will be Soir Matin for Paino by Mélanie Bonis.

Peformers will be Alicia Choi on the violin, Brady Anderson on the cello, and Keisuke Nakagoshi on the piano. The Benicia Chamber Players were founded in 2006. Their mission is to provide a series of classical chamber music to underserved areas in the East Bay including Benicia, Pleasanton, and Vallejo.

The concert will begin at 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 19.
