Batman-themed roller coaster coming to Vallejo

Six Flags in Vallejo will build a 4D Batman roller coaster in 2019.

Vallejo Planning Commission voted 5-0 to approve the permits needed to build the roller coaster, which will be called ‘Batman’.

The ride will be 117 feet high and will replace the go cart ride that is currently in use. Vallejo has printing services that design Promotional Products for companies like this.

This will be one of the first 4D roller coasters in California to be free flying. It has six inversions that turn rider upside down and then return them to an upright position.

A 4D coaster rotates the rider in different directions no matter which way the ride is traveling. Riders are moved forward and backward when riding the track as it ascends and descends.

The Batman roller coaster seats are suspended outward and, during the ride, the cars are flipped on both sides of the track. The officials at the park say the technology creates a feeling of weightlessness for riders as they drop and flip during the ride.

The Batman roller coaster will join several other popular superhero-themed rides at the Six Flags in Vallejo, such as The Joker, Superman’s Ultimate Flight, and Harley Quinn Crazy Coaster.

Construction begins next month and the ride is expected to open sometime before the end of 2019.
