Annual art walk returns near Vallejo

The 10th season of the Benicia Art Walk returns this month and will be taking place in September and October. Residents of Vallejo will not want to miss this annual event.

This is the first major public event of the year in the city and features live music, art, drawings, demonstrations, and a scavenger hunt. The Galleries of First Street will be hosting the Benicia Art Passport competition. Visitors to the eight galleries that comprise the organization will be able to pick up an Art Passport and then as they visit each gallery get a stamp for their book. This will enable them to win a prize of $250 which can be used to make purchases at any of the galleries.

Such events often use brochure printing to create a map and details of participating galleries, which may also use banner printing to make known to the public that they are open for special demonstrations.

In addition to the galleries at which there will be demonstrations by artists, the city itself is full of charming vintage architecture and public art. There are many cafes, breweries, restaurants, and bakeries that are part of the “must-try” dining experience in town, as well as boutique shops and retail establishments.

The Art Walk will take place the second Saturday of September and October from 1:00 to 5:00 pm.
