Online high school holds graduation ceremonies in Vacaville

Commencement ceremonies were recently held for more than 850 graduates of the California Virtual Academies (CAVA), which comprise nine independent online public charter schools. There were seven in-person ceremonies that took place in San Bernardino, Vacaville, Fresno, San Diego, and San Gabriel.

There were 181 students who received their diplomas in January, and 53 who are in the eleventh grade who graduated a year early. There were also 67 valedictorians who earned a 4.0 grade point average or higher throughout their years in high school.

Announcements such as these can be made known to the community through poster printing and banner printing.

CAVA prides itself on its personalized learning environment for its students. The curriculum includes the core subjects and many electives. The virtual classes are live and taught by teachers licensed in the state. There are also social outings and field trips that foster a sense of community among the students.

Graduates of the Class of 2019 will join the full-time workforce, enroll in two- and four-year colleges, or enter military service. Among the colleges and universities these students will be attending are seven of the campuses of the University of California, Pennsylvania State University, Pepperdine University, and Arizona State University.

Head of school, April Warren, expressed her pride in these students and the honor it has been to educate and help these students reach their goals.
