A Benefit Concert for youth in the arts will be presented by the Asia America Symphony Association (AASA) next month in Torrance.
David Benoit, conductor, pianist, and music director, and those who are part of the Asia America Youth Symphony Orchestra (AAYS) will join the featured performer, Oleta Adams, a well-known vocalist.
The evening will consist of two parts. The first half will be a special tribute to distinguished jazz pianists by the AAYS and David Benoit. Adams will be highlighted in the second half of the evening with her performances of gospel, rhythm and blues, and soul music. Adams has been nominated for a Grammy fur times and will be signing her hit song, “Get Here,” which became the unofficial hymn of the Gulf War.
Concerts such as this one often turn to poster printing to promote themselves.
The goal of the Asia America Symphony Association is to mentor and develop young musicians, promote the appreciation of music and partner with organizations whose missions include providing educational and educational opportunities in a professional environment.
The concert will take on Saturday, June 29, beginning at 8:00 p.m. in Torrance at the Marsee Auditorium at El Camino College. Prices for tickets range from $25 to $150 per person with a limited number of VIP tickets who are invited to a reception for meeting the artists after the concert.
