Construction will soon begin on Soto, an apartment community with 200 units in Torrance.
Soto is on Carson Street, next to the DelAmo Fashion Center. The building will be five stories tall and will have an exterior design that blends with the classic office buildings of the mid-1900s that are part of the mixed-use campus which surrounds it.
The 200 units will be a mix of studios and apartments with one and two bedrooms. Sizes will range from 633 to 1,118 square feet with luxury interior finishes. Amenities of the building will include two courtyards with pedestrian access from the street, co-working area, resident clubhouse, and a rooftop amenity deck and pool with an indoor/outdoor fitness center. Such features and amenities can be highlighted with brochure printing to help attract new residents.
Senior managing director for Southern California and the Southwest Region at Legacy Partners, Tim O’Brien, said that the design of Soto highlights the Southern California lifestyle and will offer residents views of the Pacific Ocean and be close to beaches in the South Bay. He added that it will also offer easy access to retail establishments and restaurants, including the DelAmo Fashion Center.
O’Brien said the name Soto is from the Japanese word for outside as it celebrates the vibrant lifestyle of California and the proximity of the community to outdoor space.
