Torrance company appoints new CEO

Glenn W.E. Ford has been appointed as Chief Operations Officer of Robinson Helicopter Company (RHC) in Torrance.

Such new positions often call for the need for business card printing services.

Ford’s responsibilities will be to optimize logistics and improve the efficiency of manufacturing while supporting the development of new production lines for the manufacturing and introduction of the company’s Helius, Spartan, and Spirit helicopters and its recently announced R88 helicopter.

Gord has close to 40 years of experience in the aerospace industry in engineering design, manufacturing operations, and supply chain logistics, among other areas. Ford has held various leadership roles at other major organizations in the industry before joining RHC, including ICON Aircraft, Pratt & Whitney, and Sokorsky. With his operational experience, he will be able to elevate and refine the production processes and overall quality control of Robinson’s helicopters.

The president and CEO of Robinson Helicopter Company, David Smith, said that Ford’s many years of operational knowledge will be important in the ability of the company to streamline its aircraft and parts manufacturing processes and increase the efficiency of the business in general. He added that Ford has expertise in working with customers as well such that thew company will be able to increase its speed to market and responsiveness and ensure that customers receive quality aircraft and parts in a more efficient manner.
