Applications for the Stockton Arts Grant awards program for 2022-2023 need to be submitted to the City of Stockton Arts Commission within the next couple of days.
Local Print shops can help spread the word about such available funding with Flyers and other printed materials that can be distributed throughout a city.
Art educators, individual artists, organizations, and arts agencies based in Stockton may subject proposals for programs and projects that benefit the community. Submissions that enable and support diverse cultural and arts programming are encourages by the SAC, including access to various artforms throughout the community and public engagement.
A total of $50,000 will be awarded. No individual artist may receive more than $3,000, while the maximum amount given to an organization will not be greater than $20,000. Most of the grants awarded fall between $1,000 and $5,000.
The SAC reviews all the proposals and makes recommendations for funding. The SAC may recommend funding only a portion of the total request for the project, or may select a portion of the project that it will recommend for funding.
A competitive basis is used for projects that are both large and small. A public presentation must be part of the project and take place within the city limits between June and December 2023.
Applications may be completed online and are due by noon this Friday, May 19.
