The city of Stockton is undertaking a series of recycling, beautification, and cleanup events.
Local Print shops can help cities promote such events and their benefits with Flyers, Posters, and other printed materials.
Weston Ranch High School on McCuen Avenue in Stockton will be hosting a drive-thru recycling event this weekend. This is part of the efforts of the Public Works Department to beautify and clean up the city.
Items accepted at this event will include electronic waste, such as computer monitors, televisions, copiers, phones, and fax machines; appliances, including washers, dryers, refrigerators, microwaves, and water heaters; mattresses and box springs; tires, limited to five tires per person, without the rims; and yard waste.
The city promotes this as an ideal opportunity for residents of the city to dispose of bulky items. These events also include free compost Bags and confidential paper shredding on site.
This event will be from 8:00 am to noon this Saturday, February 21. Upcoming drive-thru recycling events will take place at Banner Island Ball Park on Saturday, March 21, and on Saturday, April 18 at Pixie Woods on Block Shimizu Drive.
The Public Works Department will also be holding events for picking up litter and completing organized beautification events, for which it needs volunteers. These events are held within each district of the City Council.
