Stockton will be holding its annual 4th of July Celebration next month. There will be special significance to the celebration this year as the 250th anniversary of the United States is commemorated by communities across the country.
The American Legion Karl Ross Post 16 will be hosting the 4th of July Parade. Invited to participate in the parade are marching bands, community groups, owners of classic cars, non-profit organizations, and performers of all kinds.
The 4th of July Festival at Weber Point Events Center will follow the parade. Featured at the festival will be artisan booths, food vendors, family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and viewing of the fireworks along the waterfront downtown.
The Stockton Symphony will also perform during the festivities this year to help commemorate this historic milestone.
Such special events can be promoted throughout a city with poster printing.
Director of Economic Development, Tina McCarly, expressed her pride in partnering with the American Legion Karl Ross Post 16 to make this cherished community tradition possible every year. McCarly added that as the 250th anniversary of the United States is being celebrated this year, this makes the event this year even more special and everyone is looking forward toa day of music, patriotism, and celebration in the community.
The 4th of July Celebration will be held on Saturday July 4 with the parade beginning at 10:00 a.m. and the festival beginning at 5:00 p.m.
