Funds available for Stockton youth services

A Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) has been released by the city of Stockton, looking for applications for a Youth Services Grant Program.

The city is planning to free up a total of $2m in awards, which will range from $50,000 to $500,000. Organizations that have demonstrated a history of providing successful programs for youth and building trusting relationships with stakeholders and residents of Stockton should apply for these awards. Groups not eligible for the grant program are school and business districts, for-profit organizations, and government entities.

Funds from the Youth Services Grant Program may be used for diverse services and activities that include a focus on health and wellness; homeless services; life skills, education, and leadership development; and juvenile justice related services. The applications for these funds will be reviewed and scored by local subject matter experts and staff from the city of Stockton.

Availability of such funding with more details about the application process is often made known throughout a city with flyer printing.

The application for these funds is to be filed online. The portal opened on Monday, July 17, and an Information Session was held at 5:00 pm yesterday at the Cesar Chavez Central Library on N. El Dorado Street in Stockton to answer any questions. Applications are due by midday on Thursday, August 17.
