Bastyr University in Sorrento Valley is preparing for the next in its Living Naturally lecture series.
Keeping Kids Healthy Naturally is a talk aimed at encouraging parents and children towards healthy eating, with information and positive examples.
The talk is being given by Professor Emma Norton, ND. Dr. Norton is the faculty supervisor at the Bastyr University Clinic and holds degrees from the University of New Hampshire and Bridgeport University. She has over a decade of professional medical and teaching experience and specializes in naturopathic medicine.
Her talk will center on maintaining children’s health by following the basic principles of naturopathic medicine. Dr. Norton will begin with an overview of the basic nutritional requirements of children in different age groups and will go on to discuss creative and easy ways to help parents meet these needs.
Afterwards she will discuss supplements and the various therapeutic ways they can be used as well as natural remedies that can help fight against common childhood illnesses.
