Locals in and around Sorrento Valley can show their true colors in an upcoming race.
The ‘Color Me Rad’ San Diego 5K is a festive, untimed race that lets participants get a dose of color every 15 to 20 minutes. Along the route, volunteers toss colorful, nontoxic liquids, gels, and powders on the runners.
After the race, there will be food, music, dancing, and other fun activities. No doubt a flyer printing service was asked to create promotional handouts for the race. These Flyers could be distributed in high-traffic areas in the community.
Registration costs $45, or $55 on event day. This includes a T-shirt, knee socks, professional event photos, a ‘Rad’ tattoo, a color pack, and a subscription to a health magazine. All registrations have additional service fees. Participants can sign up as an individual, start a team, or join an existing team.
For $15, children aged seven and under can sign up for the kids’ ‘Rad Pack’. This option includes a race entry, a shirt, sunglasses, and a color pack. Kids can also run free of charge if they opt not to receive the pack.
The event will benefit the Marine Corps Community Services, which serves marines and their families. Volunteer and sponsorship opportunities are still available.
The run will take place on August 22 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the Marine Corps Air Station in Miramar.
