The San Ramon Art & Wind Festival will be coming to San Ramon Central Park later this month.
Such special events are often promoted throughout a city and neighboring communities with poster printing.
This is an annual event that features specialty food vendors and gourmet food courts, arts and crafts, three stages of entertainment featuring party bands, international music, and children’s shows. There will also be free kitemaking workshops, professional choreographed kite flying and skateboard demonstrations, and a Memorial Day tribute and helicopter landing.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair and enjoy the music at the Chevron Stage. Among the performers will be Wadaiko, which is Japanese taiko drumming; Take Flight, an a Capella group; Lady K and the The Kings of Swing, featuring jazz and big band favorites; and House Rockers, who play rock and soul music. There will be a special kids’ zone hosting face painting, party animal walking puppets, rides, and paper bag kites.
Among the sponsors of the festival are Ace Hardware, the city of San Ramon, the coder School, Peral Orthodontics, and Pacific Service Credit Union.
The festival will be held from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sunday, May 28 and Monday, May 29. The festival is free, open to the public, and is a bike-, pet-, and family-friendly event.
