Several openings on commissions, boards, and committees are currently posted by Contra Costa County and the city of Ramon. Applications will be reviewed by the San Ramon City Council, which will also conduct interviews and make final decisions on appointees.
Those who are looking to apply for membership on committees and commissions need to be 18 years of age or older and reside in the city. Exceptions to this are those on the Senior Citizens Advisory Committee, the student representative of the Parks and Community Services Commission, and members of the Teen Council, who need to be high school students during the next academic year.
Such openings and the application process can be made known throughout a city with poster printing.
Four regular members and one alternate member for terms of two years are being sought for the Arts Advisory Committee, which provides input to the city on providing and delivering cultural arts services and programs.
Two regular members and one alternate member for terms of two years are needed for the Library Advisory Committee. This committee recommends programs, policies, and updates to the facilities of the city’s libraries.
Three regular members and two alternate members for two-year terms are needed for the Senior Citizens Advisory Committee, which provides advice for the programming and issues related to seniors at the San Ramon Senior Center. Applications for these three committees are due at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday February 26.
