San Ramon to host program on community development

The Community Planning Academy of 2026 will be hosted by the Community Development Department of San Ramon this fall.

The Academy will introduce residents to why and how cities plan, how the land use and development process works, and how planning shapes the character and growth of the city. Its goal is to help members of the community better understand the decision making, tools, and policies that guide the city.

The program lasts four weeks and takes place on four consecutive Mondays. These sessions will be at San Ramon City Hall from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. There is no charge for the program and it is open to residents of San Ramon who are 18 years of age and older. The Academy is limited to 20 people. A City Council meeting in the future will recognize the graduates.

High-quality brochure printing allows for the sharing of in-depth details about such programs and the topics they cover in a professional, easy-to-read format.

Those interested in attending this Academy can apply online to the Community Development Department or submit their application by mail or email. All applications are due on Friday, July 31. Those selected for the program will be notified by the middle of next month.

The Academy will take place from Monday, September 14 through Monday, October 5.
