Forest Home Farms Historic Park in San Ramon will be hosting several special events next month.
All take place on Saturdays, the events highlight the late Victorian era. Visitors can learn more about the history of the area during these free events, which are a partnership between the San Ramon Historic Foundation and the city of San Ramon.
Poster printing can be used to promote such events throughout a city and a region.
The first will showcase “Ramon,” the park’s model horse, and offer an opportunity to learn about the horses who once lived on the farm. People can experience sitting in a saddle as they explore some of the equipment used for horses. This will be on October 3.
The farm will provide more information about the tribal nations who lived in the San Ramon Valley and celebrate the first inhabitants of the country on October 10.
The following Saturday, October 17, folks can learn about the history of trains and the trail of the Iron Horse in the San Ramon Valley. Visitors will also make a craft that can be taken home.
Visitors will be able to travel around the farm to participate in different activities and take a treat from each station. People are encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes. This will wrap up the series on October 24.
All events are from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
