Taste of Bavaria on the way for San Ramon

The annual Oktoberfest celebration will be hosted by the San Ramon Historic Foundation next month.

Featured at the festival will be the Golden Gate Bavarian dancers, beer from five breweries in the area, a catered German lunch, and the Olympic Fields brass band of San Ramon.

San Ramon’s Back Forty Texas BBQ will be providing lunch. The cost of lunch is $40 for adults for a beer glass, a Bratwurst lunch, and four beer tastings. The price is $30 for those between the ages of 11 and 20 and includes a hot dog or Bratwurst lunch and a soft drink. For those between the ages of 6 and 10, the price is $20 for a hot dog lunch and a soft drink, and children under the age of five are free.

Also available will be wine and cider, as well as fresh kettle corn and other food and drink options. The San Ramon Historic Foundation will benefit from all proceeds of the event. Such events and their fundraising efforts can be promoted throughout a city and neighboring communities with poster printing.

Sponsors of the event include Canyon Lakes Brewery, Hemly Cider, Danville Brewery, and Chevron.

Oktoberfest will be held from 11:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday, October 7 at Forest Homes Historic Park on San Ramon Valley Boulevard. Lunch tickets can be purchased in advance by Friday, September 29.
